About Laura Thurston
Laura Thurston has worked proudly in education for 22 years. She received her undergraduate degree in Social Work from University of Albany and a Master’s degree in Learning Disabilities. Laura has also obtained her Assistive Technology Certificate at Johns Hopkins University and Administration I certificate from Langston University. She has extensive experience in elementary and middle school providing assessments and as an instructor. Laura began teaching in her hometown of Syracuse, NY as an Inclusive Special Educator. Upon moving to Baltimore, MD, she has taught middle school English Language Arts and Reading. Laura is trained in in Orton Gillingham, Just Words, Leveled Literacy Intervention, and Wilson Reading System.
